Award-winning journalist, author Jennifer Senior to speak at Greenwich Library

Learn about yourself as a parent during this free lecture open to the public.

If you’re a parent, you’ve probably wondered what your effect is on your children, and rightfully so. Maybe you’ve read books or even taken parenting classes on the subject; but, have you asked yourself what their effect is on you? Award-winning journalist and contributing editor of New York Magazine Jennifer Senior has tackled that question in her debut book All Joy and No Fun: The Paradox of Modern Parenthood.

Now Senior is scheduled to speak at the Greenwich Library on Wednesday, September 30 at 7pm to impart some of what she’s learned. During her talk, which is part of the Whitby School Speaker Series, Senior will discuss how parenting has changed and why it’s more stressful than ever, why parents should never say “all I want is for my kid to be happy,” and the biggest mistake parents make when trying to raise happy and confident children.
