"The B. of Ed. Will Make the Most of the 2021 Budget"

Interesting: Most, if not all, the residents who wrote that "The Board of Ed. will make the most of the 2021 budget.. and "GPS are fortunate to have a FY21 budget..." are most, if not all, private school parents, or related to BET members who voted No to $3m for GPS. Imagine their letter if their kids were in GPS. During distance learning, some private schools have cut class sizes. But BET suggested "larger classes; closing Parkway; and fewer substitute teachers..." as ways the Board of Ed. can "make the most" of its '21 budget. Empathy for others is a good thing. "What was the point of their letter?" a neighbor mused. "To say: we're rich? Our kids aren't impacted? We don't care?"

Can only imagine the letter these same residents might write if their children's classes were being made larger; with fewer staff; and fewer overall resources in their schools.
