Back Country Greenwich Homeowner Confronts Burglary, Cops Say
The incident occurred last week on Cutler Road.
GREENWICH, CT — A back country Greenwich homeowner confronted and scared off a burglar in an attempted break in last week on Cutler Road, according to Greenwich police.
The incident occurred on April 19 just after 9 p.m., when the homeowner heard a loud noise downstairs. Police said the home was dark at the time, which must have enticed the burglar.
Once confronted by the homeowner, the burglar ran out of the house.

Police Chief Jim Heavey spoke about the attempted break in this week on the WGCH 1490 radio station, reports Greenwich Free Press.
Greenwich police officers, a police dog and members of the Connecticut State Police searched the Cutler Road area following the attempted break in but did not find the suspect.
