Bank Fraud Suspect Busted By Greenwich Police
The incident occurred on Greenwich Avenue on May 1.

GREENWICH, CT — A 54-year-old Bronx, NY man was arrested on an array of fraud charges Tuesday after he allegedly tried to obtain an undisclosed amount of cash from the Greenwich Avenue Chase Bank using a fraudulent check.
David Cruz was arrested at about 4:30 p.m. after bank employees called police once they noticed he was attempting to obtain the funds from an account that was not his.

- Third-degree identity theft (2 counts)
- Criminal impersonation (2 counts)
- Interfering with an officer
- First-degree forgery (2 counts)
- Criminal attempt at third-degree larceny
- Payment card theft (3 counts)
He was held in lieu of bail set at $20,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 16.
