BMW Gets Stuck On Beach At Greenwich Point
The out-of-town driver was given a warning, according to the Greenwich Police Department.

GREENWICH, CT — Even though beach season in Greenwich has been over for several weeks, the picturesque beach at Greenwich Point Park had an interesting visitor earlier this week.
An out-of-towner took a wrong turn and got his classic BMW stuck in the sand on Tuesday, Greenwich police said. The incident was captured by John Ferris Robben, a photojournalist and town resident.
"He was driving in Tod's Point and thought he could drive on the beach," said Capt. Mark Zuccerella. "There was no ill will. He just thought Greenwich beaches were like the beaches where he was from, and he could drive on it."

An officer who responded to the beach decided not to issue a summons to the man, who had to pay for a tow truck to remove his car.
