Darien Book Aid Plan, Inc. is conducting its 2013 fund raising appeal this month. Founded in 1949, Darien Book Aid has expanded its mission, Fostering Literacy Worldwide, shipping books to schools and libraries in more than 68 countries and to many rural school districts and inner city programs in the United States. Book Aid's enthusiastic all-volunteer group is motivated by the knowledge that these books (donated by our neighbors) make a real difference in people's lives.
