GREENWICH, CT—Police found that a bottle containing a message found at Tod's Point doesn't pose a public safety risk, according to police.

A concerned citizen alerted a Greenwich Police officer to the bottle Thursday morning. The officer also found that the bottle contained some strange items and decided it warranted further investigation.

The bottle, which resembles a pickle jar was likely set adrift and washed up on shore, said Lt. Kraig Gray, police spokesman.
