Boys and Girls Club Greenwich To Host Annual Corporate Basketball Challenge
The Thursday event will include a basketball workshop for kids with NBA player Phaethon Bolton.

Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich is hosting its 9th annual 3-on-3 Corporate Basketball Challenge this afternoon at 5 p.m. at the Clubhouse.
More than 190 professionals comprised of corporate basketball enthusiasts, Boys & Girls Club representatives and Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich alumni from Fairfield County and New York, will play in the tournament and fundraiser to benefit the club’s programs which focus on academic success, good character & citizenship and healthy lifestyles.
The winning team will receive the championship title and trophy. Last year’s champions were Gittleson & Associates, CPAs.

To kick off the event, club members, ages 8 to 12 will participate in a basketball clinic hosted by NBA professional Phaethon Bolton, a club alumnus and former Wake Forest Division 1 basketball player. The basketball clinic is free for the first 30 members and kids will learn how to dribble, shoot and pass. The clinic runs from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

“We look forward to this high energy competition every year because the kids get a chance to see their community leaders actively playing a competitive game of basketball in support of them. It also raises awareness about the Club’s valuable services, accumulates the financial support needed to run these programs and is a great networking forum for the area’s business leaders,” Boys & Girls Club CEO Bobby Walker Jr. said in a statement.
BGCG Board volunteers and BGCG teens will keep score and spectators are welcome to attend.
