David Ogilvy Award for Character, Kindness, and Integrity
The Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich’s David Ogilvy Award for Character, Kindness, and Integrity was established in 2023 to honor the memory of David Ogilvy.
A long-time board member and board chair, Ogilvy also served as the co-chair of the club’s 2003 capital campaign.
"David’s commitment to the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich’s mission was matched by his exceptional reputation and dedication to the youth of Greenwich," the club said in a news release.
The award is given to an exemplary high school club member nominated by the club’s staff as an individual who embodies Ogilvy’s reputation of trusted character and integrity and his incomparable kindness.
2025 Community Impact Volunteers
Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich will also recognize Barbara and Joe Havranek as the 2025 Community Impact Volunteers for their unwavering dedication to the club and the youth it serves.
In addition to giving their time, the Havraneks have invested in the club’s mission, ensuring that programs continue to provide life-changing experiences for members.
"Their kindness, generosity, and hands-on involvement have made a lasting impact on countless young lives. The club is deeply grateful for their commitment and is thrilled to honor them as this year’s Community Impact Volunteers," the club said in a news release.
2025 Champion of Youth
Also being honored at the event is the 2025 Champion of Youth, George Fox.
The Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich’s Champion of Youth award is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich supporter can achieve.
The recipient is recognized as making a significant contribution of time and talent to the members and mission of the Club.
Fox has been a devoted champion of the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich for over 20 years, bringing passion, dedication, and hands-on involvement to every aspect of the club’s mission.
"Throughout his tenure on the board, he has remained deeply committed to the well-being and success of every young person who walks through the club’s doors," the club added. "From 2014 to 2019, he provided steadfast leadership as Chairman of the Board, and he continues to shape the Club’s future as Co-chair of the capital campaign."
Fox has been a hands-on volunteer, whether serving meals at the annual Thanksgiving feast and pancake breakfast, cheering on participants at the Muddy Up 5K and 3-on-3 basketball tournament, or engaging with kids at the after-school program.
Outside of the Club, Fox has been investing in hedge funds for over 30 years and leads Titan Advisors as president. Fox holds a bachelor's degree from Tulane University and earned his law degree from the University of Richmond.
