GREENWICH, CT — A bystander was injured and a shoplifting suspect was able to get away after an incident Saturday afternoon in Greenwich, according to police.
A woman entered a business on Mason Street Saturday afternoon and tried to steal several purses, when she was interrupted by bystanders and fled the store, police said.
The suspect and another bystander were then hit by a dark colored SUV, which arrived to pick up the suspect, police said, noting that the driver displayed a handgun before the two drove off.
