Summer Camp at the YMCA of Greenwich is a place where young hearts and minds grow into confident, connected, and inspired leaders of tomorrow.
2026 CAMP LITs AT A GLANCE:
The Leader in Training (LIT) program bridges the gap from camper to leader, blending fun with new responsibilities that help shape the Y summer camp experience. Program hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Enrollment is on a week-by-week basis.
AGES: 6th & 7th grade
HIGHLIGHTS:
▸ Be a positive role model for campers
▸ Organize and lead fun camp activities
▸ Grow in communication skills
▸ Grow in independence and confidence
▸ Build lasting friendships
▸ Explore new interests and hobbies

Counselors in Training (CITs) experience the behind-the-scenes of camp life while building skills that extend beyond camp into everyday life and future leadership opportunities. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Enrollment is on a week-by-week basis.
AGES: 8th - 10th grade
HIGHLIGHTS:
▸ Assist with day-to-day camp activities
▸ Participate in hands-on workshops
▸ Practice problem-solving skills
▸ Prepare for future employment roles
PLUS! CITs can earn Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration training certifications at no extra cost
