Neighbor to Neighbor to Hold Fall Clothing Donation Drive
Drive will run from Wednesday, 9/23 - Saturday, 9/26
September 16, 2026 – Neighbor to Neighbor, Greenwich’s only dedicated food pantry, is launching a limited-time seasonal clothing donation drive for families later this month. Community members are invited to donate new or gently used seasonal (fall or winter) adult and children’s clothing. Kids’ Halloween costumes are also welcome.
Under Neighbor to Neighbor’s “Client Choice” model, clients can visit the food pantry once per week and the Clothing and Essentials Room once per month to select seasonal attire and household cleaning and personal products.
The fall clothing drive aims to ease the financial burden that many in Greenwich are facing: the rising costs of food, gas, and other everyday expenses, coupled with changes to eligibility for federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, have led to a 14% increase in Neighbor to Neighbor’s clients over the past year.
“Following a successful children’s clothing drive last summer, we are excited to bring this pilot to the community at a time when our neighbors need it most,” said Neighbor to Neighbor’s Executive Director K. Brent Hill.
Donation guidelines:
- Used clothing must be rip- and stain-free and washed before donating.
- No accessories (e.g., shoes, hats, bags, belts, gloves, etc.)
- No household items.
- All donated undergarments must be new in package or with tag on.
- No local sports team shirts or jerseys.
Donations will be accepted Wednesday, 9/23-Saturday, 9/26, during regular operating hours:
- Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
