The Garden Club of Old Greenwich and Riverside Garden Club are teaming up to be a part of a special flower show that will continue the celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
These two local garden clubs, who do so much throughout the year to help beautify our Town, and are members of the National Garden Clubs Inc., New England Garden Clubs Inc. and the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut Inc., will present a small-standard flower show entitled: American Grown – Celebrating 250 Years.
This patriotic flower show will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon at the historic Putnam Cottage/Knapp’s Tavern. This site is a major part of Greenwich’s history as George Washington himself once visited there. The show is free and open to the public but a $5 donation per person is suggested.
