LWV Greenwich Encourages Voters to Hear Directly From Candidates at Upcoming Debates

The League of Women Voters of Greenwich is encouraging voters to take advantage of four upcoming candidate debates to hear directly from those seeking office and learn more about the issues that matter to Connecticut voters.

LWV Greenwich will host a debate for candidates for the Connecticut State Senate and State House on Wednesday, October 14, at First Church in Old Greenwich; and will join 11 other Lower Fairfield County Leagues of Women Voters in hosting a debate for candidates for Connecticut’s 4th Congressional District on Monday, October 19, at Westport Library. Two additional gubernatorial debates, presented independently by Connecticut media and municipal organizations, will take place on October 22 and October 27

“Candidate debates provide an important opportunity for voters to hear candidates address issues and respond to questions directly,” said Mary Browne, President of the League of Women Voters of Greenwich. “Our goal is to help voters become informed and engaged so they can participate fully in the election. We encourage everyone to take advantage of these opportunities to learn more about the candidates and make a plan to vote.”
