The Putnam Hill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution invites students in grades 5–12 to explore, research, and share their voices through historical essays or 3-minute video submissions. Chapter-level winners receive bronze medals and certificates, with opportunities to compete for monetary prizes and national recognition. The contest is open to all public, private, and home-study students residing in Greenwich.
Entries must be submitted to the local chapter by November 1, 2026. Chapter-level winners will receive Bronze Medals and official certificates. Winning essays will advance through state and divisional rounds, competing for national recognition and monetary awards.
Educators, parents, and students can request official entry rules, submission guidelines, and cover sheets by contacting Chapter Chair Barbara La Rocco at PutnamHillHistorian@gmail.com.
