Lawn Care Clean Up Volunteer Event with the YMCA of Greenwich

Give your time, get outdoors, and help neighbors in need!

The YMCA of Greenwich is seeking volunteers for Saturday, November 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help senior citizens and other community members who may need assistance maintaining their yards.

Volunteers will work in teams alongside youth members of the Y’s Leaders Club. Each team will clean up and maintain one yard. By giving a few hours of your time,  you can make a BIG difference in our community.

At the YMCA of Greenwich, our leadership, education, and volunteer programs help young people build the skills and confidence not only to reach their potential, but to enact positive change in their communities.

Leaders Club is a nationwide Y-USA initiative that helps young people turn their free time into something meaningful through hands-on service projects that help strengthen the community.

Our leaders are divided into groups based on their academic year:

LEADERS | Grades 6-8

SR. LEADERS | Grades 9-12

Each group is student-led and advisor-supported, giving leaders opportunities to lead projects and mentor younger students throughout their time in the program.

Leaders Club meets every Friday at the YMCA of Greenwich from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Each month centers on a local cause, giving leaders the chance to learn about the issue, work together, and see the impact of their efforts.

MONTHLY PROGRAM STRUCTURE:

WEEK 2
