Camp Gan Israel to Host Greenwich Seniors
Each summer the campers spend part of a day cooking, singing with senior citizens.
It will be an inter-generational day on Wednesday at Camp Gan Israel of Greenwich.
The children attending the day camp run by Chabad Lubavitch of Greenwich at Carmel Academy on Lake Avenue are planning to put into practice the community service they’ve been learning this summer.
Campers learn and practice community-building and community service projects along with their bunk counselors. Doing good deeds is part of the curriculum that fosters compassion, charity and kindness.
