Car Wash Employee Struck, Injured By Exiting Vehicle: Greenwich Police
A section of the Post Road was closed Monday as a result of the collision.
GREENWICH, CT — A vehicle exiting a car wash on the Post Road in Cos Cob struck an employee and another car, injuring two people and closing the Post Road for several hours Monday, according to the Greenwich Police Department.
Police responded to Splash Car Wash on the Post Road around 10:20 a.m. on a report of a person who was struck by a vehicle, Lt. Patrick Smyth of the GPD said.
An initial investigation showed that a car wash employee was struck by a vehicle exiting the wash. The vehicle continued across the Post Road where it collided with the driver's side of another car, Smyth said.

The driver of the second car had minor injuries and was taken to Greenwich Hospital for treatment. The employee that was struck suffered more serious injuries and was taken to Stamford Hospital for treatment, Smyth said.
The condition of the employee was not known Monday afternoon.

The Post Road is now fully reopened to traffic and the investigation is still ongoing.
