Car Driven Through Front Doors Of Store During Burglary: Greenwich PD
Greenwich police said two people are accused of backing a car through the front doors of a Saks Fifth Avenue store and stealing merchandise.
GREENWICH, CT — Two people accused of backing a car through the front doors of a Saks Fifth Avenue store and stealing merchandise were arrested early Friday morning, according to police.
In a news release posted to Facebook, police said a 2019 Toyota Camry, which was stolen from Boston, was driven through the front doors of the Greenwich Avenue store around 3:30 a..m.
According to police, Alton Jackson, 36, and Mykukn Smith, 28, both of Chicago, backed the car through the front doors of the store, stole an undetermined amount of merchandise and fled.

Greenwich police immediately located the pair and tried to stop them as they drove onto Interstate 95 south. Officers were able to coordinate with New York police, who later stopped the pair in New York, police said.
The pair fled from the vehicle on foot but were caught by police a short time later. Items stolen during the burglary were also found in the car, police said.

"The Greenwich burglary is still open and burglary and larceny charges are expected to be brought against Jackson and Smith in Connecticut," police said on Facebook.
