Celebrate Arbor Day, Greenwich Tree Conservancy at a Tree Party

'For the Love of Trees' is this year's theme of the Conservancy's annual tree celebration.

Greenwich Tree Conservancy’s 8th Anniversary Celebration Tree Party with the theme of “For the Love of Trees,” will be held on Friday, April 24, same day as Arbor Day, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at McArdle’s Greenhouse on Arch Street in Greenwich.

Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served.

The Conservancy in, a public-private partnership with the town has planted almost 2,000 trees in Greenwich.

This year, the Tree Conservancy is celebrating Greenwich’s 375th anniversary with the goal of planting of 375 trees on public and non-profit lands in Greenwich.

The conservancy describes the event as “The Tree Party is a fun cocktail party for the worthy cause of enriching our tree canopy in Greenwich and the public is encouraged to attend.”
