Child Struck, Injured By Vehicle: Greenwich FD

The incident occurred Tuesday morning in Old Greenwich.

GREENWICH, CT — A child riding a bike to school Tuesday morning, Jan. 8, on Sound Beach Avenue was struck by a vehicle and suffered minor injuries, a Greenwich Fire official tells Patch.

Details of accident were not immediately available, but it occurred at about 8 a.m., according to Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz.

"The operator of the bike was a ten-year old Greenwich resident who suffered minor non-life threatening injuries," wrote Slusarz in a statement. "The child was transported to a local hospital for evaluation."

He added, "The operator of the vehicle was not charged."
