Chocopologie Goes Greenwich
The specialty chocolate shop "pops up" here now through Easter.
Pistachio. Yellow Apple. Pear. Chili and Tangerine.
These aren't your usual chocolate flavors, but they are found everyday at Chocopologie To Go, which opened Thursday afternoon at 30 W. Putnam Ave. in central Greenwich.
The location is a temporary seasonal temptation which will tantalize Greenwichites until the Easter bunny hops through town. It is the third location of renown chocolatier. The flagship location, is in South Norwalk, is a full service breakfast through dinner restaurant, and in October, Chocopologie opened in New Haven close to the Yale University campus, serving many students.

While the Greenwich location doesn't offer seating — the TO GO sign prominently hangs in the window — there isn't a lack of variety of sweets to lure customers. Chocopologie is known for obviously their chocolate and cakes. The idea and the concept of the store is about having fun in their creations.
What makes their chocolate different? How about "Hannah"? No, not a friend you can call for lunch; well, maybe. "Hannah" is a Hawaiian sea salt and carmel truffle.

Christian Wilki is the manager of both the SoNo and Greenwich chocolate emporiums, is excited about their new presence here. "Greenwich is a great town and this is a great location," he said.
Wilki hails from Odense in Denmark, which is the same European city as Chocopologie founder and creator Fritz Knipschildt. Wilki has a presence in all 3 locations and now plans to split his time between Greenwich and New Haven.
