Christopher Von Keyserling Found Guilty In Sexual Assault Trial

Von Keyserling, a Greenwich resident and former RTM member, was found guilty of fourth-degree sexual assault Thursday.

STAMFORD, CT — Greenwich resident Christopher von Keyserling was found guilty of fourth-degree sexual assault on Thursday at Stamford Superior Court after a jury deliberated for a little over an hour, according to the Greenwich Time.

Von Keyserling, a Greenwich Representative Town Meeting member at the time, made national news in 2017 after he was arrested following an altercation with a woman at Nathaniel Witherell, a nursing home in Greenwich, in December of 2016.

According to a January 2017 arrest warrant for von Keyserling, a woman made a complaint with the Greenwich Police Department on Dec. 9, 2016 and said von Keyserling had touched her inappropriately the day prior.

According to the warrant, von Keyserling and the woman had a heated conversation about politics, when he told her she was, "...nothing but a lazy, bloodsucking union employee."

The warrant said that von Keyserling eventually followed the woman into her office, and she then went to leave. "As she did so, he reached between her legs from behind and pinched her in the groin area," the warrant stated.
