Coming to Greenwich -- Pizza Night

Chicken Joe's will be selling pizzas to benefit Ride for Kids and Greenwich's Needs Clearing House.

Pizza aficionados — Mark the calendars!

Anthony Marini of Chicken Joe’s and Joe Kaliko and Fred Camillo of the Greenwich nonprofit Needs Clearing House are partnering for a pizza night that will benefit both the Needs Clearing House and Marini’s charity Rides for Kids.

Marini and his staff conducted a dry run this week, making 30 pizzas in the kitchen of parish hall of Christ Church Greenwich on East Putnam Avenue where the pizza night will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. June 12. (Accepted payment that night will be either cash or checks.)

Kaliko and Marini said the church kitchen is perfect for their event. They used the commercial ovens to crank out 30 pizzas on Wednesday that were served to the church staff.

Kaliko said, “They will all be fresh, made-to-order pizzas that night … we’re expecting to make two to three thousand pizzas.” Also on the menu that night for either dining in the church hall or for take out will be salads, homemade cookies and non-alcoholic beverages.

Kaliko said there also are sponsorships available for the benefit ranging from $100 as an event friend to $5,00 for a Diamond Level Sponsor.

For sponsorships contact Joe Kaliko at 203-629-5555 or Chicken Joe at 914-557-5457 or mail a check payable to either charity (all funds will be split 50/50), and how you want to be listed as a sponsor, to P.O. Box 7621 Greenwich, CT 06830.
