Constantino's Of Greenwich To Hold Grand Opening Event May 15
The new eatery, which features pizza, ice cream and authentic Italian dishes, is located at 699 W. Putnam Ave.

GREENWICH, CT — What's better than pizza, authentic Italian dishes and ice cream?
On May 15, Constantino's of Greenwich will hold a grand opening event at 12 p.m., which will feature a ribbon cutting, free pizza slices, giveaways and more.
Located at the site of the former Stateline Deli at 699 W. Putnam Ave., husband and wife duo Michael and Robyn Bordes purchased the building after the deli closed in 2021.

Robyn, who has over 31 years in the restaurant industry, named the Italian restaurant, pizzeria and ice cream shop after late father, Constantino Matarazzo. Head pizza man and longtime friend, Dany Aquilar, is bringing over 25 years of experience to the restaurant as a former pizza man at Robyn's previous restaurant, Villagio's in Hartsdale, N.Y.
At the heart of the business is family — nearly all of the menu items are named after family members. The restaurant will be managed under Robyn's brother, Todd Matarazzo.

There will be room to dine inside, but delivery and takeout are also available.
The community can expect to find pizza — regular, gluten-free or cauliflower crust — with all the familiar toppings. Specialty pies like buffalo chicken, veggie, or "grandma style" and a unique four-corner sicilian will be available.
Appetizers include chicken wings, bruschetta, cheesy breadsticks and fried calamari, among others.
Salads, and pasta dishes such as penne vodka, lasagna or baked ziti and spaghetti bolognese are on the menu, as are a variety of classic sandwiches like meatball parmesan and an Italian wedge.
Authentic Italian entrees range from chicken francaise and chicken scarpiello to eggplant parmesan.
Ice cream and Italian ice will be available by the scoop, pint or quart, along with ice cream cakes.
The Bordeses are partnering with Slice, a pizza delivery website, as part of the company’s program to revitalize the restaurant industry post-global pandemic.
"We are honored to partner with Slice to open Constantino’s in Greenwich and are proud to be a part of Slice’s plan to revitalize the restaurant industry one slice at a time," Robyn said in a news release.
"We truly want to create a restaurant that brings family together at home, at our restaurant, or at a private celebration or corporate party," Michael added.
