Cos Cob Bank Robber Gets 9 Years in Jail
Second suspect in robbery of Citibank in Cos Cob receives federal prison sentence.

The second suspect convicted in the March 2012 robbery of the Citibank in Cos Cob has been sentenced to nine years in prison.
Kevin Bolden, 47, of New Haven, pleaded guilty of one count of bank robbery on Dec. 4, 2012. Originally, he was arrested April 4, 2012 and charged in connection with a spree of six bank holdups—including two in Stamford. More than $15,000 was stolen during the heists.

Bolden, who has been in custody since his arrest, was sentenced April 3 by U.S. District Court Judge Janet Bond Arterton in New Haven to 108 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release.

- March 7, 2012: Citizens Bank, Forbes Avenue, New Haven; $1,375.
- March 8, 2012: First Niagara Bank, Amity Road, Woodbridge; $3,290.
- March 12, 2012: People’s United Bank, 2586 Summer St., Stamford; $5,786.
- March 19, 2012: Citizens Bank; 1 Atlantic St., Stamford, $1,140.
- March 22, 2012: Citibank, 453 E. Putnam Ave., Greenwich, $1,226.
- March 27, 2012: Chase Bank, State Street, Bridgeport; $2,582.
Bolden was arrested last April 4 in West Virginia with his accomplice.
During five of the robberies, Bolden was assisted by Moneek Grant, also of New Haven. On Oct. 2, 2012, Moneek Grant pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery. On Dec. 19, 2012, she received a 30-month jail sentence.
