Road In Greenwich Reopened After Utility Pole, Water Main Repairs
A crash Thursday night led to the road's closure, and crews worked on repairs until Friday evening.
GREENWICH, CT — Fairfield Road in Greenwich was reopened Friday evening between Old Church and Hillside roads, following a motor vehicle crash that knocked down a utility pole, according to police.
The crash occurred at about 7:45 p.m. Thursday night, and while crews were replacing the pole, a water main to the area also was struck and broke.
Crews worked to repair the water main and replace the pole until Friday evening.
