Previous public office, appointive or elective

I serve the Town of Greenwich currently on the RTM since 2019. I am a Delegate for District 8 to the Finance Committee and an Alternate Delegate to the Claims Committee and the Labor Contracts Committee.

Why are you seeking this office?

I am running for State Representative for the 151st because Greenwich residents deserve compassionate, thoughtful, and transparent leadership in Hartford dedicated to working on solutions for us all.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Listening to residents it's clear, inflation will remain a concern for all of us. Here my financial experience is a tool to evaluate and pass budgets that position Greenwich residents for job growth opportunities, reduce tax burdens, and cut red tape to attract and support local business. Right now I am also hearing how important it is that at a State level we ensure access to vital reproductive care decisions and safe schools for our students.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

Professionally I have always valued resolving conflicts to achieve mutual goals in a respectful way. In elected office I listen across political party to take action around issues that impact our residents. One example was my advocacy for the formation of the Affordable Housing Trust, enhancing our local authority around zoning decisions. Unlike other candidates for the 151st I am endorsement by CT Against Gun Violence, Planned Parenthood Votes, the Uniformed Professional Firefighters Association, and the Sierra Club.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?

I am not challenging an incumbent.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Fiscally will address and support policies that ensure taxes do not go up, I unequivocally support reproductive freedoms and making healthcare more affordable and accessible. We must prioritize our children's ability to attend school safely and reduce gun violence, discrimination, and rhetoric of hate and disrespect too prevalent today.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Throughout my 40 year career, I acquired the many skills I utilize in my public service roles today. These include conflict resolution, a disciplined work ethic, a tireless devotion to achieving goals, and bringing plans to fruition.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

"To be true to yourself and respectful in the way you treat others" which is advice I attribute given to me by the Jesuit values of education in my early academic years and my family.
