UPDATED: Decision Made on Greenwich Schools for Thursday
Many Greenwich schools decide whether classes will be held and other cancellations in town, as the snow continues to fall Thursday.

UPDATED: 6:29 a.m.:
From the Boys & Girls Club Greenwich: “Due to inclement weather, the Club is CLOSED today, Thursday, March 5.”
From the Greenwich YMCA: “ YMCA Main Facility will open at 8am. Childcare at St. Roch is CLOSED. All Youth Classes are cancelled (excluding competitive aquatics).”

Greenwich Public Schools and several private schools announced they will be closed Thursday, March 5 because of the weather.

Among the private schools that are closed: Convent of the Sacred Heart, Greenwich Country Day School, Greenwich Academy, Brunswick School, Stanwich School and Whitby School.
Greenwich Academy also announced early Thursday, “At this time, the Upper School musical “Bye Bye Birdie” is scheduled to go on as planned at 7pm at Brunswick. Please check the Brunswick website for updates.”
And the announcement on the Greenwich Country Day School said, “Lower and Middle School Division Heads will email parents by noon to confirm/cancel Parent Conferences scheduled for Thursday evening.”
The Bruce Museum announced early Thursday, “This evening’s After Hours at the Bruce, originally scheduled for 5 to 8 PM, has been cancelled due to weather. The Museum is closed.”
