Drainage Improvement Project To Resume In Old Greenwich
The work is expected to take three to five weeks to complete.
GREENWICH, CT — Construction will resume on Forest Avenue in Old Greenwich on Dec. 3 as part of the town's ongoing drainage improvement project in the area.
Work was temporarily paused on Sept. 25. First Selectman Fred Camillo said in his weekly newsletter to the community last week that there will now be full-depth asphalt restoration above the newly installed drainage system, and the work will take place between Tomac Avenue and Fairfield Avenue from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The town website notes the work is expected to take three to five weeks to complete. Police will put traffic control measures in place, Camillo said, noting there may be times of single-lane travel or full road closures.

Identified as an area in need of drainage improvements by the town of Greenwich Flood & Erosion Control Board, the overall project will bring drainage improvements to the pipe network within Tomac Avenue, Harding Road, and Forest Avenue.
According to the town, this area sees regular flooding on the roadways during heavy storm events.
