Driver Arrested After Smashing Into 3 Parked Cars In Byram: Cops

The hit-and-run crash occurred Jan. 26, according to Greenwich police.

GREENWICH, CT — An 18-year-old Bridgeport driver was arrested on charges of evading responsibility and making an improper turn after he smashed into three parked vehicles on North Water Street in Byram on Jan. 26, according to Greenwich police.

Esteban Lopez, of Price Street, fled the scene of the 10:55 p.m. crash, police said, and was later found in Port Chester.

The struck vehicles were unoccupied at the time, and no injuries were reported.

The owner of the damaged white Cadillac Escalade Lopez was driving was contacted and reported to police headquarters, but authorities did not disclose whose vehicle it is.

Lopez was released after posting a $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Feb. 11.
