Driver With Skateboarder Hanging Onto Car Arrested: Greenwich: PD
Police said a Greenwich man is accused of drinking a beer while driving as another person riding a skateboard hung onto the side of the car.

GREENWICH, CT — Police said a Greenwich man is accused of drinking a beer while driving as another person hung onto the side of the vehicle while riding a skateboard. According to an arrest report, officers observed the vehicle traveling on Steamboat Road at 9:20 p.m. on Friday.
Police said officers stopped the vehicle and discovered that Michael Palmgren, 21, of Greenwich was operating the vehicle and showed signs of impairment. According to police, the accused agreed to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which he did not perform to standard.
Police said the accused also admitted to drinking a beer while driving, and a cold half empty can of beer was subsequently located inside the vehicle. He also did not possess a valid driver's license, police said.

Police said the accused was charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, operating without a license, drinking while driving and second-degree reckless endangerment.
