eBay Saturday: Clammed Up in Greenwich
Who remembers the tried and true "Clam Box" restaurant in Cos Cob?

Calling all Greenwich historians and restaurant buffs.
As you know, eBay Saturday features unusual items on the ubiquitous auction website of items related to Greenwich. This one caught our eye.
If you're looking to expand your collection of Greenwich-oriented ephemera, the seller of this circa 1940s ad is taking bids for 12 days, or, if you're really hot to buy it now, it'll cost $9.99 (plus $1 for standard shipping). It's a virgin piece of ephemera-never used. Who doesn't remember fabulously delectable seafood from The Clam Box?

(I must boast that I was served one of the last dinners at this ubiquitous seafood house with a couple friends back in the lae 1980s. Afterwards, the staff was kind enough to give us a tour of the kitchen.)
Happy shopping!
