Elderly Person Assaulted In Greenwich Home; Woman Charged: Police
Police said a woman entered a Greenwich home and brandished a knife. She got into a physical altercation with two people and was arrested.

GREENWICH, CT — A 36-year-old Greenwich woman is accused of entering a Greenwich home, brandishing a knife and assaulting two victims, one of whom was over the age of 60, according to police.
Deanna Gomez, of Stamford, was taken on March 12 from Greenwich Hospital to police headquarters where she was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, third-degree assault of an elderly victim, second-degree threatening, and risk of injury to a child, which is a Class C felony.
Police said that afternoon, Gomez entered a home in the Byram section of town with a knife, "which caused both victims to fear for their safety," police said in an arrest report.

Gomez got into a physical altercation with both victims, and they suffered injuries as a result, police said, noting that during the fight, a child under the age of 16 was present.
Before entering the home, Gomez slashed the tires on a car owned by one of the victims, police said.

Gomez was unable to post a $10,000 bond. Her next scheduled court date is March 21, according to the CT Judicial Branch website.
