Farmer's Almanac Makes Summer 2018 Prediction For Connecticut
The popular guide, which has been around for 200 years, has made its prediction and it's not all good news.

Admittedly, there is more anticipation over the Farmers' Almanac preview for winter than there is for summer, but since we've largely been robbed of good spring weather thus far it doesn't hurt to see what the popular guide has to say about this summer.
For the record, the first day of summer is Thursday, June 21. As for predictions, the almanac is saying the Northeast including Connecticut will see warmer than normal temps. Connecticut is listed in the almanac's "very warm" temperature category.
As for precipitation, typically thunderstorms are a summer concern, and last year Connecticut had several strong thunderstorms during the summer. The Farmers' Almanac is predicting "below average" precipitation this summer and adds that the lack of rain could lead to "drought conditions."

And there is still a long way to go before we get to the first day of summer and the almanac predicts that we can expect a stormy end to April and May starts off with fair and dry weather before rain enters the picture from May 4-7. Showers and storms are also possible between May 8-11 but the weather rebounds from May 12-15.
For the rest of May, there is the chance of several more storms. The beginning of June also appears stormy and includes several chances of rain and thunderstorms.
