Fire Damages Cottage On West Side Of Greenwich: Report

The Greenwich Fire Department said units responded to a fire on Sherwood Avenue Wednesday morning.

GREENWICH, CT — A fire severely damaged a cottage on the west side of town Wednesday morning, according to Greenwich Time. No injuries were reported.

The Greenwich Fire Department said on social media they extinguished a fire on Sherwood Avenue, which is just off King Street, around 9:45 a.m.

The Time noted that residents at a home on Sherwood were able to evacuate. A nearby cottage caught fire and sustained "extensive damage."
