GREENWICH, CT — Police said Thursday morning firefighters are responding to an "active fire scene" on Lower Cross Road in Greenwich. Members of the Greenwich police and fire departments are both on scene.

Lower Cross Road at both North Street and Lake Avenue are closed, and drivers are asked to seek out alternate routes, police said on Twitter.

Police said no residents or pets are in the home.

Fire officials also said on Twitter the house fire was "fully involved," but all occupants were out of the home. They also said the house "is starting to collapse."
