First Selectman Camillo Urges Proper 911 Usage In Greenwich
In his weekly newsletter to the community, Camillo said he's received reports of people calling 911 to report minor issues.

GREENWICH, CT — First Selectman Fred Camillo is urging residents to utilize 911 properly in town.
In his weekly newsletter to the community, Camillo said he's received reports of people calling 911 to report minor issues, such as a malfunctioning traffic light.
"I understand these are issues that should be addressed but they do not rise to the level of emergencies," Camillo said.

For minor issues, residents should submit information via the Access Greenwich system, which can also be used on a mobile device.
"911 is for emergencies only and we do not want to tie that system up when there are other ways to effectively report issues that the town can respond to," Camillo added. "Please use common sense when contacting our hard-working first responders."
