Free Organ Concert Offered At Christ Church Greenwich
The concert is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
GREENWICH, CT — Highly regarded organist, Jonathan Vaughn, will perform Olivier Messiaen’s epic Christmas meditation on the Nativity of Our Lord on the Christ Church Greenwich’s Harrison & Harrison organ, interspersed with readings from W. H. Auden’s "For the Time Being: A Christmas Oratorio," on Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Vaughn is a renowned British-American organist, choral director and accompanist. Currently associate director of music at Christ Church Greenwich, he has also held positions at The Cathedral of All Saints, Albany, NY; Wells Cathedral; St Edmundsbury Cathedral; St John's College; Cambridge; and St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.
He regularly performs as a recitalist around the US and UK, and he has released two CDs of orchestral transcriptions.
