Funky Monkey Toys & Books Donates $1,170 to Neighbor to Neighbor
10% of Sale Day Donated to Children in Need

Every year Neighbor to Neighbor distributes toys and gift cards during the holiday season, thanks to the generosity of local shops, groups and residents who donate new, unwrapped toys in various locations or drives around town. This year, they were able to distribute nearly 1,000 toys and gift cards, to the delight of Greenwich residents who are clients of Neighbor to Neighbor.
This year, the newly opened toy store on Greenwich Avenue, Funky Monkey Toys and Books, held a special 20% off shopping day with and additional 10% being donated to Neighbor to Neighbor.
Funky Monkey also offered a special, curated “Neighbor to Neighbor Wish List” for the month of December. Customers could select and donate a toy in the Funky Monkey toy store.

About Funky Monkey: While new to Greenwich, the Greenman family is far from a new name in the toy business. Impressively, Jared is a 4th generation toy store owner after his great-grandfather, grandfather, and father. His great uncle Nat Greenman is listed as #3 in the Toy Hall of Fame. And Jared's father, Stan Greenman, was the creator and founder of the popular Noodle Kidoodle stores. "We are excited to bring our family business to the wonderful community of Greenwich," said store owner Jared Greenman.
