Ganim Launches Wealth Attack On Lamont's 8 Bathrooms: Report
The Bridgeport Mayor and gubernatorial candidate wants you know that the Greenwich Democrat is a rich guy with a lot of bathrooms at home.

GREENWICH, CT — In an attempt to play up his everyman appeal, gubernatorial candidate Joe Ganim over the weekend launched a broadside against rival Ned Lamont, the endorsed Democratic candidate for governor, about the number of bathrooms in Lamont's Greenwich home, reports the Hartford Courant.
Ganim, who took the swipe at Lamont during a Sunday appearance on WTNH-TV's "Capitol Report" program, wanted to paint Lamont as out-of-touch with common voters because his home has eight bathrooms (not to mention six bedrooms and a market value in excess of $6 million). The Bridgeport Mayor, also a Democrat, is seeking to force his way onto the ballot as a petitioning candidate.
Attacking a candidate on their wealth can be dicey, especially when that candidate's success is no secret. Lamont has run for office before, and Democratic delegates at last month's convention were not put off by his wealth when they overwhelmingly made him the party's candidate.
