Gas Leak With Suspicious Circumstances Closes Roads In Greenwich

A bomb squad has been called to the scene.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department is currently investigating a gas leak with suspicious circumstances in the area of Pemberwick Road, between Comly Avenue and Grey Rock Drive.

"Due to the nature of the incident, the Stamford Bomb Squad is on scene assisting with the investigation," police said. "At this time, there have been no injuries reported and there is no known threat to the public. Pemberwick Road will be closed between Comly Avenue and Grey Rock Drive for an extended period. Residents are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. This remains an active and ongoing investigation."
