Goose Population Culled in Greenwich
Conservation officials annually attempt to humanly reduce the population.

GREENWICH, CT- The Greenwich Conservation commission has oiled 132 eggs this year in an effort to reduce the number of geese in town.

The method of putting oil on eggs to prevent them from hatching is approved by the Humane Society, according to Greenwich Time. Eggs are checked to see if the goose is too far into development to oil the egg.

A common complaint about geese is that they are found on park properties along with their waste.
Geese typically settle down for two or three months during molting season. It also takes time for goslings to learn to fly.
