Need Sheets? Needs Clearing House Is Filling A Community Void

Needs Clearing House is at it again, collecting much-needed supplies for area's veterans.

Two Men and a Truck sent out volunteer truckers to NYC this week to pick up a donation of 14,000 new sets of sheets to be distributed by the Needs Clearing House to charities located in Greenwich and around the state.

The donation comes from the Starwood Hotel chain and will go directly to charities "placing an order." Charities like Neighbor to Neighbor, the Rescue Mission in Bridgeport, organizations need linens for veterans and many others.

The sheets will be stored at space donated by Westy's in Norwalk and Stamford.

The Greenwich Police Explorers will help with sorting the sheets and preparing the "orders" for the charities picking up their sheets next Monday andTuesday.

All the sheets will be put out into the community, from Greenwich to Bridgeport; and even as far as Hartford.

The Needs Clearing House is itself a charity that has applied for 501c3 status. NCH identifies charitable needs and fills those needs by identifying individuals and/or businesses with the means and desire to help.
