GREENWICH, CT — The third-seeded Greenwich girls basketball team advanced to the CIAC Division I championship game with a 58-47 victory over No. 10 Hamden in the semifinals Monday at Trumbull High School.

The Cardinals will take on top-seeded Northwest Catholic in the championship game this weekend at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

Northwest Catholic advanced to the title game with a 50-48 win over Sacred Heart Academy in the other semifinal game on Monday.

Sophomore Zuri Faison led Greenwich with a team-high 21 points, while Elsa Xhekaj added 17 points and Madi Utzinger had 16, according to GameTimeCT.
