BEGINNING & INTERMEDIATE DRAWING CLASSES

Program Description
For beginners and those who have some drawing experience, this class will focus on building techniques and improving your observational drawing skills. We will discuss fundamental techniques and practices of drawing such as perspective, value, form, surface, and texture. The goal is to apply these principles in producing a well-developed still life or landscape drawing. We will also learn some fundamentals in constructing the human head by drawing from a plaster cast and understanding the planes that make up the structures of the face and head. Drawing media will be in graphite or charcoal pencils. Max. 7 students.
Required Supplies
Supplies: Strathmore Drawing Pad - Size: 14 x 17; Kneaded Eraser; Genuine Chamois; Pencil Sharpener.
Pencils (Optional-) Rexel Cumberland, Eagle Turquoise or Schwan Stabilo 2B, 4B, 6B
Charcoal Pencils (Optional-) Eagle, Generals 2B, 4B, 6B, or Wolff’s Carbon 2B, 4B, 6B
