Navigating the embarrassment of color choices to create your unique color palette:
This masterclass is for those with nagging secret questions about colors, unsatisfied answers, and creating their unique color palette.
With so many riches of colors available and so many manufacturers to select colors from, how and why choose amongst Yellows, Reds, and Blues, each color tube with different color names, to define our unique palette? What are colors' qualities and distinctions and purposes? Why are there so many markings on color tubes? Why buy a limited palette, or how not to collect all the colors of the rainbow?
Last but not least, which colors to purchase, from what color manufacturer, how and why to make a choice, or how to create your distinguishing Color Palette?
We travel behind the scenes to satisfy our need to know, to stop our confusion, to start to seriously define a personal color statement in our work and to say goodbye to the lure of piling on colors.

  • A note from Greta: The workshop is open to all levels, including beginners and painters in all mediums. The info I will impart can best be explained with a medium like watercolors. However, it applies to all mediums. Even if the students bring their preferred medium, such as pastel, acrylic, or oil, they can use watercolor paper as a base.
