Greenwich-based Atlas Holdings Acquires Marcal Paper
Marcal will change its name to Soundview Paper — making it sound like a Greenwich business — however it will continue to use the Marcal Small Steps brand name in its consumer products, including toilet paper, paper towels and napkins.

Soundview Paper Co., an affiliate of Greenwich-based , has reportedly acquired struggling paper recycler and manufacturer Marcal Paper Mills of Elmwood Park, NJ, for an undisclosed sum.
According to an article on NorthJersey.com, Marcal will change its name to Soundview Paper — making it sound like a Greenwich business — however it will continue to use the Marcal Small Steps brand name in its consumer products, including toilet paper, paper towels and napkins.
Atlas Holdings, with offices at 1 Sound Shore Drive, owns and operates industrial plants employing more than 8,000 people worldwide. It is involved in diverse range of industries including pulp and paper manufacturing, food and agriculture, wood products and building materials, packaging, capital equipment, and industrial and business services, according to the company's website.
