Greenwich Board of Education Election Proposal Draws Mixed Opinions
The proposal would change how many seats are up for election in any given cycle.

GREENWICH, CT — A proposal to change how many Board of Education seats are elected every cycle has drawn mixed support in the community.
The Board of Selectman are scheduled to vote on the matter Thursday, according to the Greenwich Time. The proposal would see five seats elected in one cycle and three in another instead of the current method of four seats each cycle.
Supporters said it would bring more accountability to the BOE and lessen the control town committees have over the selection process. Those against said it would politicize the BOE.
