Greenwich Burglary Suspect Surrenders To Police

The suspect was wanted in connection with multiple September break-ins.

GREENWICH, CT — A suspect wanted in connection with multiple September burglaries in Greenwich surrendered to police Wednesday morning after being told that there was an active warrant for his arrest.

Christopher C. McCalla, 18, of Homestead Lane in Greenwich, is accused of breaking into a home on Almira Drive in the Pemberwick section of Greenwich on Sept. 4 and stealing an undisclosed amount of cash.

While investigating that crime, Greenwich police detectives discovered that McCalla allegedly tried to break into the home on at least two other occasions, and determined that he was also a suspect in several vehicle break ins on Sept. 16 on Dale Drive. He allegedly also stole money from those vehicles.

McCalla was charged with:

  • First-degree burglary
  • Third-degree larceny
  • Attempted third-degree burglary (2 counts)
  • Third-degree burglary

He was held in lieu of bail of $25,000 and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Oct. 31.
